Quang Yen Town’s Youth Union has helped hundreds of poor families to escape poverty.

For the first 6 months of 2013, Quang Yen Town’s Youth Union, together with the Bank for Social Policies, allocated more than 5 billion VND to aid its disadvantaged members. This capital has helped hundreds of poor families to escape poverty.
However, due to allocation limits and borrowing conditions, only 600 households have been able to access this capital to date. To overcome these obstacles, the union is co-ordinating with local authorities, branches, and the Bank for Social Policies to hasten the execution of loans to youth union members, strengthen both savings and borrowing groups, thereby boosting the movement, “Youngsters do business well”, as well as realizing new rural area construction program targets.
